Deep Cleaning Our Homes!!!

Who doesn’t like a clean house. A house that is dust free and is immaculate always! Now wouldn’t that be a dream come true? Unfortunately, things don’t work that way. We need to tire and toil to ensure our house is neat and clean. I had shared a few tips in one of my previous blogs. Those were more like daily tips to keep the house clean. This blog is dedicated to deep cleaning the house. Here I will talk about tackling the stain in between the tiles, the food stuck in small parts of the stove and the huge French windows. These are just some small things that I learnt over the years and that I follow. Some of them come from the internet, some I learnt from my parents and some I learnt while experimenting on my own. If you think this topic interests you, then do keep reading. The Bathroom Now, the bathroom is something I feel that has the most germs. During my weekly cleaning routine, I ensure I clean my bathroom nicely. I clean/scrub the toilet (using a good toilet cleaner), w...

What's Your Cleaning Mantra?

How many times have you wished that the house cleaned itself? I keep wishing this many many times in a day. And I am sure, many other women also think that way.  To give you a premise, I am not someone who wants everything to be perfectly clean always. But then things need to be decently clean. Windows without major streaks, furniture without dust, a dry and neat bathroom and definitely a clean kitchen is what I aim for most of the times. There might be many blogs on this topic and I too have learnt a lot from different blogs out there; but here I have mentioned a few tips that have helped me in my day to day life. Start in the Night Yes you read it right. I do not start it in the day but in the night. I start by clearing all my dishes and stacking them in the sink. Then I proceed to wipe down my stove and my k...

India to Australia - The PR process I followed

Want to move to Australia and don't know what to do? Well, then you are exactly where I was about a year and a half back. I tried going through an agent and all that jazz but I realized it was way too much money. Then I set out to do my own research and understand all that I needed to apply for a PR. Since I had no knowledge at all and was researching all along the process, I ended up taking way more time than was actually required. I had to actually go through a lot of sites, YouTube videos and blogs to understand what needed to be done. When I entered Australia, the feeling of relief was overwhelming. To know that I singlehandedly managed the process from End to End (With a little help from the husband), was a feeling of achievement in itself. Today when I think about it, I realized how difficult it was for me to understand the entire process. Gathering information from different sources was a hassle. Hence, I came up with the idea of penning down my journey at one place. T...
